Introduction

ACL injury has a high frequency among the young sports-active population. Ligamentoplasty is an accepted procedure . on the other hand, we dont know to match about conservative treatment. Our purpose is to evaluate the degree of joint stability and functionality in patients with spontaneous ACL repair. Material and Methods: retrospective search for patients with spontaneous ACL repair. Inclusion criteria: spontaneous ACL repair clinically and imaging confirmed. Exclusion criteria: incomplete evaluation. The sample consisted of six patients, three were excluded because they were work patients. with an average age at the time of injury of 13.6 years and an average follow-up of 34.3 months. We re-evaluated them using: Lachman test, Pivot Shift test, IKDC-subjective section, Lysholm score, Tegner Activity Score, Modified Cincinnati Rating System Questionnaire and RMI. Results: negative Lachman and Pivot Shift maneuvers in 100% of patients; IKDC- subjective section: average functionality of 99.2%; all three patients had a Lysholm Score of 100; the Tegner Activity Score was 4 in patient 1 (recreational skiing), 10 in patient 2 (professional rugby) and 9 in patient 5 (competitive amateur football) and all presented the same score before and after ACL injury; the Modified Cincinnati Rating System Questionnaire was excellent for all (average value of 100); in the MRI, the patients showed continuity and homogeneity of the ACL. Conclusion: All of our patients returned to their usual sports activities, with the same level of physical demand and without symptoms of joint instability, with spontaneous ACL repair being efficient and effective.
