Role of the fellow with respect to Clinical, Surgical, Research, and other opportunities: Tailored clinical and/or research fellowship with 1-3 months duration including participation in outpatient clinic and OR (scrubed in) Participation in clinical research including studies and publications possible
Types of Educational Opportunities: Scrub in for surgery, Assist in clinics under supervision, Receive hands-on training, Assist with research, Didactic sessions, Publishing opportunities
Research projects, research facilities and resources, cadaver labs, publication opportunities, integration of the patient and public involvement, and the role of the fellow: Research group affiliated with university of Basel including study nurses and 2-3 international fellows Research from study idea, protocol writing, planning and execution till publication. Fellow can participate in every step.
Related Conference/Lecture Schedule: 5 national and international 1-2 day courses in the field of knee surgery Surgical Skills and Training Lab including a virtual arthroscopy and arthroplasty simulator, which can be used 24/7. Resident teaching program monday morning and thursday afternoon
