Recent activity of Teaching Center: We are an Indian Arthroscopy Society recognised fellowship center and have 2 visiting clinical fellows (6 months) and 3-4 observer fellows (1 month) per year.

Role of the fellow with respect to Clinical, Surgical, Research, and other opportunities: The fellow will have the ability to
- Develop meaningful relationship with the mentor surgeons working at several prestigious hospitals in Mumbai.
- Observe and assist in surgeries performed by them.
- Discuss surgical procedures, techniques and patient management
- Promote research and stimulate an exchange of knowledge, skill and scientific information
- Attend and present at conferences
Types of Educational Opportunities: Manage patients directly, Scrub in for surgery, Assist in clinics under supervision, Work on cadavers, Receive hands-on training, Assist with research, Didactic sessions, Publishing opportunities
Research projects, research facilities and resources, cadaver labs, publication opportunities, integration of the patient and public involvement, and the role of the fellow: We have several opportunities for visiting fellows to play an active role in patient management, including community OPDs and charity camps, where the fellows depending on their calibre, can actually see, diagnose, stratify management and contribute to surgical procedures.
Related Conference/Lecture Schedule: We have a weekly Clinical Meet for reviewing the weekly case list, discussing our research updates and goals and planning presentations for upcoming conferences. We also take up one ISAKOS webinar (on the global education link) in the weekly meet and review literature based on the topic.
Athletic Team Coverage: Abhishek Kini is associated with the Mumbai Cricket Association and a few local Kabaddi clubs.
Miten Sheth is associated with the Sports Foundry, a Mumbai based organisation, sponsoring all club and district level Badminton tournaments in and around Mumbai.
In addition, we cover a few Club-Gymkhana level mutli-disciplinary tournaments.
