Welcome to Mumbai!

Mumbai, the vibrant gateway to India, stands as a captivating blend of heritage and modernity - a city where centuries-old traditions meet the energy of a global metropolis. Formerly known as Bombay, it rose to prominence as a historic port and evolved into India’s financial, cultural, and entertainment capital. Today, Mumbai is home to over 20 million people whose diversity and dynamism reflect the spirit of India itself.

From the grandeur of the Gateway of India and the Victorian Gothic architecture of South Mumbai to the serene coastal promenades and contemporary skyline, the city harmoniously balances the past and the present. Its rich cultural fabric is interwoven with art, cinema, cuisine, and music, offering visitors a sensory experience like no other.

Renowned for its warmth and hospitality — the true essence of Atithi Devo Bhava — Mumbai welcomes guests with open arms. The city’s cosmopolitan charm, culinary excellence, and pulsating rhythm promise an unforgettable experience for every visitor to the 2026 ISAKOS Regional Summit.
