ISAKOS Global Traveling Fellowship
Purpose of the Award
The ISAKOS Global Traveling Fellowship is a new initiative intended to foster the international exchange of knowledge and skills in the field of sports orthopaedic surgery.
The Fellowship is coordinated by the Traveling Fellowship Committee and the ISAKOS office. It will provide the opportunity for five orthopaedic surgeons, under the age of 45, to travel with an ISAKOS Godfather to the Godfather’s geographic region. They will visit up to six medical centers before attending the ISAKOS Biennial Congress.
At each center, the fellows will have the opportunity to observe sports orthopaedic surgeries performed by highly respected surgeons, to discuss not only the surgical procedures but all aspects of patient management, and to discuss and share research experience. At each center, each fellow and the Godfather will be expected to present a short scientific paper from a list of three such papers provided by each fellow.
