The University Fellowship is unique in India providing a comprehensive coverage of Arthroplasty of the major joints and Arthroscopy including sports injuries of upper and lower limbs. With an annual volume of more than 32000 outpatient visits and over 1600 surgical cases performed, the university with its 3 interstate tertiary training/teaching institutes with pride entitles 6 fellows per year with a 13 month period of training as “Fellow in Arthroplasty and Arthroscopy” by a structured curriculum and examinations including strong research activities at par with international standards. The Fellows will be exposed to all aspects of primary, complex and revision arthroplasty, management of all sports injuries inclusive of open and arthroscopic procedures. The mentoring component assures that the fellow will have one-to-one experience with our faculty during the education. The fellow will be involved in 1 hr of formal teaching per week and will be allowed to perform procedures under supervision. The fellowship aims to provide intensive training with broad exposure to sharpen the skills of the developing surgeon in the field so as to understand, learn and achieve the best possible practice in a systemic and structured way.
