SportsDocs in a comprehensive center that provides clinical and surgical services across all aspects of Sports medicine. The center comprises of 5 visiting orthopaedic surgeons, 6 physiotherapists, and 2 strength and conditioning trainers. The center provided orthopaedic consultations, rehab, and sports performance enhancement guidance. Surgeries are performed at several hospitals across mumbai and other cities. Specialist clinics include Shoulder and Elbow, wrist and hand, Hip and groin, Knee, foot and ankle, and spine. The consultants are reputed fellowship- trained surgeons with a strong academic track. Each surgeon performs approximately 200 surgeries a year.

Estimate of Living Expenses (Housing and other major costs): Housing must be arranged by the fellow and our staff will assist in this. Monthly housing rentals and other living costs are approximately 50,000 INR.

Role of the fellow with respect to Clinical, Surgical, Research, and other opportunities: Fellows are involved in surgical cases and outpatient clinics. This includes assistance in surgery, clinical examination and assessment, hospital rounds, and data management. Research work involve commencement of new protects and involvement in previous ongoing projects.

Research projects, research facilities and resources, cadaver labs, publication opportunities, integration of the patient and public involvement, and the role of the fellow: The fellowship has a large research component that includes both basic science and clinical studies. Every fellow is expected to complete at least 1 original research study in 6 months. Some fellows have completed as many as 5 papers in a year. Cadaveric facilities are available at some affiliated hospitals and biomechanical lab research is possible at an engineering college in mumbai. Besides this there are opportunities for writing book chapters, podium presentations, and technical notes.
Related Conference/Lecture Schedule: The fellowship work schedule involves a 6 day work week. This includes 2 days of surgical theatres and 3 days in outpatient consultation. One day a week is dedicated to teaching and research activities. A monthly lecture / symposium is conducted by attached faculty and is attended by visiting specialists.
Athletic Team Coverage: There is no dedicated team coverage, however, the center provides surgical and rehab services to athletes across all sports (details on website)
