Dr. M. Enes Kayaalp is an orthopaedic surgeon based in Istanbul, Türkiye, specializing in sports medicine and knee surgery. He currently serves as an Associate Professor of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the University of Health Sciences in Istanbul. He is also a Deputy Editor-in-Chief for Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy (KSSTA) and a member of the U-45 Committee of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA). Dr. Kayaalp completed his orthopaedic training across three centers in Türkiye and Germany, concluding in 2019, and subsequently pursued a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh in 2024. His clinical and research interests focus on the biomechanical and clinical impacts of osteotomies around the knee, with a particular emphasis on slope-reducing techniques to prevent ACL graft failure and improve joint mechanics. Dr. Kayaalp has authored approximately 100 peer-reviewed articles, reviewed more than 200 articles and contributed more than 10 book chapters with international and national publishers. He has received numerous competitive research grants, including support from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) Young Investigator Grant, the ESSKA–Pittsburgh Research Grant, and postdoctoral funding from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK). In addition, he has received multiple national and international awards recognizing the scientific impact and quality of his research.
