Yoshihiro Kotoura is a head of department of orthopaedics in Kyoto Chubu Medical Center. He specialize in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery. Especially, he has been researching the injuries of baseball players and is actively involved in the prevention. The intervention of his team in a local baseball team has resulted in a reduction of injury rates. He earned PhD in orthopaedics from the Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine.
