Professor Shiyi Chen, MD, PhD, is a chairman of Department of orthopedic sports medicine of Hushan hospital. He is a councellor of Shanghai municipal government. He specialized in arthroscopic minimally invasive surgery of shoulder, knee, ankle and other sports injuries. As a surgeon and clinical researcher, he developed a new kind of Chinese artificial ligament, with 25 invention patents to colabolate with industry. Dozens of sports superstars, such as Liu Xiang, Xu Lijia, Zou Shiming and so on, have accepted successful treatments under his surgical care. He is famous sports sougeon in China. Prof. Shiyi Chen, as Chairman of Sports Medicine Institute of Fudan University, is also the President of Chinese Society of Sports Medicine (CSSM), the President of Chinese Othopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon Association (COSMSA) and leadership of some international societies, such as Asia-Pacific Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Society (APKASS, 2016~2017), ISAKOS (2015~2017)and so on. He has been ranked as top 10 surgeons in China, national talent programs and achieved many national and international level scientific awards. He is good educational doctor and has raised more than 100 Masters, Doctoral degree studentss, and Post-Doctors. He have successfully hold IFOSMA (International Forum of Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Surgery) for 18 years as well as co-chairman of 2017 ISAKOS Biennal Congress in Shanghai, China with more than 5000 participates from more than 100 oversea counties coming to attend this meeting. He has won the national "973", "863" projects, key research and development projects of Ministry of science and technology, and dozens of the National Natural Science Foundations of China (NSFC). He has published more than 300 papers in domestic and international professional journals ( 112 SCI papers), as a chief editors or translators of 15 textbooks or monographs. He has made remarkable achievements in many fields, such as artificial ligament, massive rotator cuff repair (Chinese way), developed Fudan University Shoulder Scoring system (FUSS), leading the activity of sports health promotion, injury prevention and rehabilitation in China, which has been spreaded to whole country.
