Dr. Sameh (Sam) A. Labib is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Dr. Labib has joined Emory Department of Orthopedic Surgery as a full time faculty in 1999 and has a particular interest in sports Injuries of the knee, ankle, and foot. His practice and research focus has always been on improving outcomes for active individuals with Sports related Cartilage, Knee, Ankle and Foot injuries. He serves as the Head Team physician for the athletic program at Oglethorpe University. He also serves as an Orthopaedic Consultant to the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Hawks, Georgia Tech and Emory University. Dr. Labib has lectured both nationally and internationally at many orthopedic scientific meetings. His research has been published in several prestigious journals, including JBJS, Arthroscopy and Foot and Ankle International, as well as numerous book chapters and AAOS educational video presentations. Dr. Labib is journal reviewer for American Journal of Sports Medicine, Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and a current member of the editorial board of Arthroscopy Journal. Dr. Labib completed his orthopedic residency at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine surgery and Foot and Ankle surgery. Dr Labib is American Board Certified in orthopedic surgery with additional subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine Surgery.
