Being an alumnus of one of the largest orthopaedic centres in northern India (Central Institute of Orthopedics, Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi), Dr Amit has acquired an immense amount of hands-on clinical experience performing orthopaedic surgeries which include orthopaedic traumatology, arthroplasties, and arthroscopies. Later on, he was trained at the world-famous Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute, Italy, under the mentorship of Prof. Stefano Zaffagnini; Gelenkpunkt – Sports and Joint Surgery, Innsbruck, Austria under the mentorship of Prof Christian Fink and Christian Hoser; and Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic, Western University, London, Ontario, Canada, under the mentorship of Dr Alan Getgood. He is a very keen researcher and dedicated young orthopaedic surgeon with excellent surgical and communication skills. He has published many scientific papers in prestigious orthopedic journals and collaborated with notable international orthopedic surgeons for multiple research projects. He is an active reviewer of many prestigious journals such as JBJS, AJSM, CORR, KSSTA, ARTHROSCOPY, JEO, OJSM and JISAKOS. He was awarded as the best reviewer of the year for JEO, which is an official journal of ESSKA.
