Dr. Kopka is part of the Banff Sport Medicine group in Alberta, Canada. She completed her orthopaedic residency training at the University of Calgary. She then pursued a Fellowship in Sport Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by an AO Trauma Fellowship at Karlovska Universita in Prague, Czech Republic. Within the field of sport medicine, she has a special interest in osteotomy and multi-ligament knee reconstruction. She is the current Chief Medical Officer for the Canada Snowboard National team. Her spare time is dedicated to her family - including two young children - and exploring the Rocky Mountains on skis and bike.
