Dr. Sonnery-Cottet is a practicing surgeon in Lyon, France. He exclusively specializes in sports medicine, especially knee, muscular, and ankle surgery. He performs over 600 ACL reconstruction each year. Dr. Sonnery-Cottet attended medical school in Lyon, and he was a resident in Paris University Hospitals as well as Edinburgh, Scotland. He was also an assistant registrar in orthopaedic surgery in Paris at the Pitie Salpetriere Hospital. Dr. Sonnery-Cottet has presented over 100 national and international lectures, participated in three scientific movies, and has 86 international publications. He also serves as an editorial board member of the Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine and a reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine.
