Jeffrey H. DeClaire, M.D., is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon who has been practicing orthopaedic surgery in Rochester, Michigan for more than 25 years. He is the Founder and President of The Michigan Knee Institute. Over the past 25 years Dr. DeClaire has focused his practice on the treatment of knee injuries and disorders, including arthroscopy, arthroscopic ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration, minimally invasive partial and total knee replacement, as well as revision and reconstructive procedures of the knee. He has been active in the Oakland University Sports Medicine Program as a team physician, and is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Oakland University in Rochester Hills. He currently is the Director of the Adult Reconstruction & Joint Replacement Program at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital. Dr. DeClaire earned his undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He completed a surgical residency program at Wayne State University followed by his orthopaedic residency training at the University of Michigan Hospitals. He also completed a sports medicine fellowship program, which concentrated on knee injuries and disorders, at Penn State University’s Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
