Summary

3D printing in TKA has applying value and prospect

Abstract

Purpose

•Discuss 3 D printing in the advantages and defects of the TKA

Methods

•In June 2015 to October 2016, I division of 24 cases of 28 knees in the 3 D printing for TKA, summarize the operation experience and observe the curative effect 。

Results

•After 1 year of clinical follow-up, clinical curative effect is satisfied. But the 3D positioning template needs improvement.

Conclusion

•Advantage:
•1. The preoperative design more reasonable, especially for patients with bone defect, estimate of the amount of defects and evaluate more intuitive
•2. After skills can greatly reduce the operation time
•3. The theory Angle and the thickness of bone cutting will be more accurate
•4. The orientation of femur does not require line of intramedullary
•5. Personalized prosthesis design and configuration

Conclusion

•Disadvantages:
•1. Need to have rich experience in the traditional way to TKA surgery doctors to carry out the operation
•2. Bone cutting template anchor point in the mold and the entity has a certain difference
