Stephen Lyman has been an orthopedic sports medicine and arthroplasty researcher since 1996. His doctoral dissertation lead to the Little League Baseball pitch count limits and his subsequent work on the volume outcomes relationship for orthopedic procedures and patient reported outcome measurement has lead to improvements in our understanding of orthopedic outcomes. He holds faculty appointments at Weill Cornell Medical College in Manhattan and Kyushu University School of Medicine in Fukuoka, Japan.
