Harukazu Tohyama M.D., Ph.D. is currently working as Professor and Director in Department of Rehabilitation Science, Hokkaido University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Sapporo, Japan. He received his M.D. from Hokkaido University School of Medicine. He serves as a team physician for the American Football Team of Hokkaido University and the Hokuren Women's Distance Running Team. He have authored 114 peer-reviewed publications, four review papers and five chapters in English. He was also selected as a traveling scientist of the ACL Study Group at 2008-2010. He is currently an editorial board member of “Arthroscopy.” Dr. Tohyama is also a president of the 14th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Orthopaedic Society of Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine (JOSKAS), which will be held at Sapporo, Japan in 2022.
